Flying VM - This wingfoil-specific model was inspired by Jimmy Vitor Marshall, a foiling pioneer and lifeguard from the North Shore of Maui. They, 18 - 20 years ago, along with Laird Hamilton and other guys, began to develop foil in Hawaii, and now Vitor turned to Jimmy with a request to use his experience in designing boards to create a completely new projectile for wing foiling. Jimmy Lewis already had experience creating boards for wind-powered hydrofoils, but for the last 20 years he has not returned to this. Now, having resumed this direction, he conducted research with a seaplane. Now the bottom shape of this board is similar to that of a seaplane. It has almost no drag both on takeoff and when landing, and also takes off faster than usual. This unique bottom shape, along with the angled rails, provide very low drag and extra lift once the board starts moving forward. “I don't do tricks with my shapes. All my designs and shapes are proven hydrodynamic miracles,” said Jimmy Lewis.
